This position serves as a Program Support Clerk (QA) for Engineering Service at Eastern Kansas Health Care system (EKHCS). The incumbent works closely with and is assigned work from the management staff and performs a variety of administrative duties.
Duties
Duties include (but are not limited to);
Responsible for supporting and monitoring the following activities: Timekeeping, processing of Work Order, management of Government (GSA) Vehicles, and Ordering Supplies, Receptionist, and general Administrative Support
Performs administrative and clerical duties in accordance with current policies and procedures and/or verbal instructions with the necessity in many instances for exercising individual judgment in making decisions within the scope of the position
Primary Timekeeper for various T&L's with Engineering Service. Ensures the accuracy of employee attendance is reflected in VISTA PAID System and will work with the new VATAS (VA Time and Attendance System) ensuring that all time and attendance reports are completed accurately and are submitted in a timely manner
Schedules and issues GSA vehicles for usage by Medical Center employees through face-to-face, telephone, and email (Outlook) contact
Processes, tracks, and responds to inquires related to Work Orders from many customers and other service line personnel seeking the status of their Work Order Request
Monitor office supply levels and orders supplies as needed for support staff and shop supervisors
Performs Receptionist duties by meeting and greeting people in person and on the telephone
Schedules meetings and sets up conferences areas when called upon to assist the Engineering Management Staff
Prepares in final format routine correspondence
Maintains various filing systems
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-05 grade level: One full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the Program Support Assistant at the developmental level, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4) in the Federal Service. Specialized experience where you were responsible for providing clerical, technical, or customer support; receiving and referring phone calls; communicating and treating customers in a courteous, tactful and respectful manner while providing consistent information according to established policies and procedures; and using computer programs to prepare documents. Note: Experience must be fully documented in your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.

Applicants may substitute education for the experience required for the GS-05 level.
Successfully completed four (4) years education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at the GS-05 level.
To calculate, first identify the percentage of required education you have earned (when substituting, you cannot use the first 60 semester hours that you earned). Then identify the percentage of required experience you possess. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify at the GS-05. For example, an applicant who has 9 semester hours of graduate level education (i.e. 50% of graduate education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education.
