About the Position: Serves as Supply Technician for the Blue Grass Army Depot, Directorate of Mission Management. Utilizes a thorough knowledge of supply regulations, policies, and procedures to review, edit and input transactions into automated systems. Conducts research for information pertaining to supply transactions for reviews and reports.

Duties

Input transactions into a variety of automated supply systems. Provide assistance to senior level specialists providing reports, data, and analysis. Reconcile rejected supply transactions. Submit work orders for equipment maintenance. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities. Maintain the technical library containing regulations and standard operating procedures. Control records for all nonexpendable property. Assists primary unit HAZMAT representative with ensuring organization is in compliance with environmental and materials storage programs.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires obtaining and maintaining a Non-Critical Sensitive (SECRET) security clearance for the duration of employment.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position requires possession of a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver license for duration of employment.
• Licensing for use of forklift for vertical rack storage is mandatory. Government owned vehicles will include but not limited to 5 ton and below wheeled vehicles and 7k and below fork lift vehicle.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: experience utilizing automated systems to review, edit and input supply transactions; conducting extensive searches for supply related information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; providing supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies and equipment and compiling contract information into contract portfolios, packets, or cabinets.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
