This position located in Gateway National Recreation Area, in the Information Technology Division.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.
Duties
This position is located at Gateway National Recruitment Area. The incumbent serves as an information technology (IT) professional and principal advisor and expert to the unit's management and staff in managing, administering, developing, delivering, and supporting IT systems and services. They are responsible for performing a variety of essential functions and services in support of operational readiness requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex factors dealing with IT networks, systems, databases, and associated equipment and software involving many different and unrelated processes and methods. Familiarity with audio visual hardware is a plus. Major duties include, but are not limited to:

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. Experience - Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate, demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems: determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: performing applying IT concepts, principles, methods, standards, and practices, sufficient to carry out difficult and complex assignments; perform common IT processes and procedures such as anticipating and correcting configuration issues, troubleshooting, providing customer support, and identifying priorities, integrating information system components, performance tuning tools and techniques, and using system diagnostic tools sufficient to install and maintain software and hardware; ability to recover data in the event of system failure and IT acquisition; and assist with contract management of IT projects. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
