In this position you will provide support to TW/FM leadership, performs the duties of the Financial Management Technician, and independently performs a variety of cost and financial management analysis and technical related tasks in support of the 412 Test Wing Financial Management Division.

Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with peers, mission partners, and leadership personnel to disseminate vital information and complete tasks in a timely manner. This includes the ability to team well with others to foster unit cohesion and build morale.
Must be able to effectively use computer systems, automated data processing equipment, and information technology to update databases and spreadsheets used to track vital information related to job requirements. These systems should also be used to further automate processes and innovate how tasks are accomplished/tracked to increase workplace productivity and efficiency.
Must possess problem solving skills to adequately accomplish tasks and/or develop informational briefings for unit personnel. This includes the ability to analyze guidance and data from multiple sources and combine relevant information to produce clear and consolidated products.
Provides general administrative oversight and support to staff and maintains cooperative working relationships with coworkers, related functions, internal and external customers, and operating officials as required.
Performs such work as: internal control reviews of financial data, creates and verifies accuracy of reports against source documents to determine reliability of data and transactions.
Accomplishes preliminary analysis to assure the completion of requested studies and reports according to the organization's objectives and identifies discrepancies and potential problems for analyst's review.

- This is a Financial Management level 1 certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): approx. 30 days per year

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-4 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is to play a key role in ensuring members are trained on current Safety, OPSEC, GTC and DTS policies and/or changes in processes while promoting team building and leadership skills and directly serve by organizing and/or coordinating trainings, briefings, and awareness for the workforce within the Directorate, utilize proven collaborative skills within, among and outside of the FM community to develop relationships and business practices to support workforce management.
RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of policies, data collection, analysis methods, and report writing to provide administrative support
for programs and personnel issues.
2. Knowledge of computer systems and other automated data processing equipment or systems to provide a
wide range of information technology support and documentation to enhance productivity and to update new
and existing databases or spreadsheets.
3. Skills in gathering, assembling and analyzing computer products and data to provide management information
for problem resolution when clear guidelines are lacking.
4. Ability to balance/reconcile accounts and independently take corrective action.
5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
