You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.

Duties

You will serve as the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Regional Inventory Accuracy Officer (RIAO.) You will serve as the principle point of contact for Navy stock material. You will conduct special analytical studies on problems relating to inventory accuracy resulting from systemic or procedural changes affecting the entire organization. You will work with various partner sites to study and resolve challenges affecting their area of responsibility. You will present ideas, information, and recommendations orally and in writing to audiences that may include flag/general officers and Senior Executive Service members. You will be knowledgeable of material management processes in various IT systems such as eRetrograde Management System (eRMS), Commercial Asset Visiblity (WebCAV), as well as, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. You will direct investigations and reconciliation of discrepancies relating to actions such as receipt control, stock control and inventory adjustments.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires occasional travel.
  • This position is limited to the local commuting area.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Inventory Management Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying day-to-day management of repairable and consumable inventory by directing, monitoring and ensuring successful completion of goals. I gather, analyze and record inventory data in some or all of the following automated systems; Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), eRetrograde Management System (eRMS), and Commercial Asset Visibility (WebCAV) to determine inventory accuracy process problems and recommend solutions. I strongly communicate orally and in writing and succinctly present ideas, information and recommendations to upper management. Examples of specialize experience may include the following: 1) Serves as the point of contact for stock material; 2) Oversees mission-essential inventory while ensuring the accuracy of materials managed and stored by various commands; 3) Sets goals and standards, monitors performance and conducts independent physical inventories; 4) Prepares schedule and ad-hoc reports on the status of inventory record accuracy to the command; and 5) Informs management of deficiencies in security, procedures and systems and makes recommendations for improving inventory accuracy at respective sites.
