This position is located at the New Cumberland, PA's, Defense Logistics Agency with the MWR Community Club. This position is a Flexible (Flex) position and there are 0 guaranteed hours per week. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits. There is no upper limit to the number of hours a flexible employee may work (subject to overtime obligations and work scheduling requirements).

Duties

Performs routine duties of servicing banquets either by providing for set menu banquets or taking individual orders. This position is basically waiter work, with fewer procedure requirements than those involved in positions in restaurant, cafe or bar operations. Involved in setting up and breaking down banquet settings and replenishing beverages. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
• Stands, walks, and stoops and stretches, usually for long period of time, handling food and beverage trays and good containers, seldom weighing more than 40 pounds.
• Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Standard Qualifications: Must meet the state/local age requirement for the serving of alcoholic beverages. No prior training or work experience required.
