Duties
The Chief, Site Activation Branch for the MILCOMM and PNT Transition Division manages a diverse team of military, civilian, and contractor personnel across engineering, operations, and program management functional areas in support of site activation, facilities construction/buildout, and hardware deployment/installation for the MILCOMM and PNT acquisition portfolio. This position routinely interfaces with operations personnel, program offices, and other external government agencies to ensure facilities are available and outfitted in time for hardware installation and program delivery. The primary operating location for the Transition Division is Schriever Space Force Base, CO with potential travel to Los Angeles AFB, prime contractor locations, or alternate operating locations on an adhoc basis. This position is authorized for situational telework.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This position is not eligible for telework.
- PCS funding is available.
