Duties
As a STORAGE SPECIALIST at the GS-2030-7/9/11 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serve as a Quality Control Monitor responsible for monitoring Transportation Service Providers (TSP) performance.
Serve as a Quality Control Monitor for over 900 Transportations Service Providers (TSP) and over 2,000 domestic storage facilities within Personal Property Program (DP3).
Provide assistance to resolve potential or actual problems relating to services, reports, and general operation of the storage program.
Perform Pre-Award surveys, and determines adequacy of facilities and advises Transportations Service Providers (TSP) on government expectations and Tender of Service Agreements (TOS) requirements.
Conduct studies involving program operations and recommends management improvement action plans.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-07 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service:
Training to assist annual and periodic quality surveillance inspections of Storage In-Transit(SIT) and Non-Temporary Storage (NTS) commercial facilities.
Training to assist facility inspections evaluating for flood vulnerability, warehouse construction, stacking heights, property protection methods, material handling equipment, and fire protective systems.
OR
B. You have 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
You may qualify at the GS-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service:
Assisting with annual and periodic quality surveillance inspections of Storage In-Transit(SIT) and Non-Temporary Storage (NTS) commercial facilities.
Assisting with comprehensive facility inspections evaluating for flood vulnerability, warehouse construction, stacking heights, property protection methods, material handling equipment, and fire protective systems.
OR
B. You have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A.One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service:
Conducting initial, annual and periodic quality surveillance inspections of Storage In-Transit(SIT) and Non-Temporary Storage (NTS) commercial facilities
Conducting comprehensive facility inspections evaluating for flood vulnerability, warehouse construction, stacking heights, property protection methods, material handling equipment, and fire protection systems.
OR
B. You have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
