About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB, AR - Hangar 1080
This position is guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours but can be scheduled to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Duties
Plans and administers a diversified program by providing professional expertise in developing, implementing, and conducting event and programs for active duty military, retirees, DOD civilians and their families. Offers programs in personal and professional development, performing arts, leisure, recreation, and family life skills. Within established agency policy and objectives, plans programs according to compliance with Air Force policies. Coordinates schedule with other related agencies to avoid conflicts. Coordinates and maintains calendar of community programs and events. Prepares and manages APF and NAF budgets and quarterly adjustments. Establishes and maintains continuity book. Prepares community programs cost analysis prior to implementation and after-action reports for each program or event. Programs may be offered as self-directed activities, instructional classes, special interest clubs, special events, community wide events, and co-sponsored events. Responsible for all arrangements for official functions; booking event rooms, obtaining pertinent information from customer and finalizing paperwork with customer signature. May set up and inspect final arrangements to ensure arrangements are met. Supervises staff during set up of events/during events; work and observe event in operation to ensure service provided is efficient, courteous, and correct from both program policies and contractual terms. Required to use computerized program software. Maintains real property inventory and comply with directives to ensure Air Force assets are protected. Must work an uncommon tour of duty which includes nights, weekends, and Holidays. Performs other duties as assigned. Position is a position of trust.

Requirements

- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work experience, which has provided general knowledge of management principles and practices demonstrating the ability to carry out continuing projects/programs. Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure of timelines and rigid deadlines. Experience using MSOffice software. Experience must demonstrate the ability to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, recognize solutions, and plan and organize work. Must have experience in a customer service setting, ability to perform common arithmetic problems, budgeting and cash handling. Must have ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Bachelor's degree in recreational leadership, parks and recreation management, leisure studies or related field is highly desirable.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
