You will serve as a FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT SUPERINTENDENT in the Facility Sustainment (FS) Branch, Production Division, Public Works Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will coordinate work assignments with trades or shop personnel for scheduling and completion of work.
You will implement safety programs to adhere to command policy and maintain the safety of the workforce.
You will determine personnel, material, and equipment needed to accomplish production goals within budget and time parameters.
You will discuss with higher level management on budget, staffing needs, or acquisition of property or facilities.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and leading minor construction and repair projects, emergency/service work, and recurring maintenance throughout a facilities division; 2) Utilizing knowledge of the Navy's Shore Facilities Planning System requirements to provide facilities support to the command; 3) Utilizing financial procedures, practices, controls, and objectives to develop and manage budgets; and 4) Ensuring the proper safety principles, methods, and techniques are followed by facilities workers. NOTE: This experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for this position.
