You will serve as a Security Assistant (OA) in the Commander Navy Region of SUBASE KINGS BAY SEC DET.
Duties
You will prepare correspondence and documents in accordance with regulations and policies ensuring they follow proper structure, grammar, and
punctuation.
You will greet persons entering building, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations
You will use office equipment (e.g. personal computer, fax machine, or scanner) to perform a variety of administrative tasks.
You will brief employees and visitors on controls and restrictions associated with access to Federal installations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: maintaining security files, creating company identification cards, and screening of applications and documentation for vehicle decals and passes.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
