Duties

As a Supply Technician, you will perform the following duties: Support supply operations for the Aircraft Operations Center (AOC). Support the procurement of routine items and special or emergency supplies or parts needed for AOC operations. Ensure supplies and materials are delivered and prepare discrepancy reports when materials are short or damaged. Prepare, maintain, and process invoices, labels, airbills, waybills and government bills of lading for shipping supplies and equipment. Prepare and pack equipment and supplies for shipment to various sites. Maintain warehouse floor and track inventory. Receive and inspect parts or materials to ensure that correct amounts are received and are not damaged. Issue parts and materials to be used for aircraft, electronic and scientific equipment maintenance in accordance to prescribed procedures. Prepare recurring inventory reports and maintain established stock levels for required items. Assist with receiving, shipping, or moving materials utilizing forklift or other warehouse equipment. Monitor and coordinate the disposal of hazardous waste from designated accumulation points. Track funding and serve as purchase cardholder. As a government purchase card holder, control limited budgets and reconcile accounts. Assist higher level staff in funds management and tracking. Keep and maintain all records according to established guidelines. Provide property management services for AOC owned or leased vehicles. Make arrangements for vehicle use. Ensure that information pertaining to vehicle identification tags and maintenance or repair records are accurate and current.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-08 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: Providing support for supply operations to include procuring, tracking, and maintaining supplies, tools, or equipment; and Performing inventory and warehouse management functions to include preparing and shipping supplies/equipment and receiving and inspecting shipments.
