You will serve as a EDUCATION SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS at the UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY.

Duties

You will communicate regularly with teachers, coaches and other information providers to gather data and prepare complete application records in a timely manner. You will perform a detailed review of candidate application files, including transcripts, standardized test scores, recommendations and other documents, to insure all documents are valid and complete prior to forwarding them for evaluation. You will use computer tools such as Excel, Google Business Applications, Business Intelligence, and Salesforce to collect and analyze admissions information to support regional operations and goals. You will serves as a rotating secretary for the Admissions Board and follow-up on all Admissions Board evaluations. You will collect, analyze, and compile numerical data for weekly status reports. You will participate in a variety of Office of Admissions programs as we welcome students, parents, educators, Congressional Staffers, and Blue and Gold Officers visiting the Naval Academy.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated software programs to perform administrative functions; 2) Liaising with multiple departments to gather and validate information; 3) reviewing and auditing applications/files to ensure accuracy; 4) Answering questions on academic admissions processes and procedures. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have 1 full year of graduate level education
OR
Have completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
