You will serve as a EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING TECHNICIAN (OA) in the ACADEMICS DIRECTORATE of EXPED WARFARE TRNG GRP PACIFIC.

Duties

You will provide support for all elements of curriculum development, including instructor lesson plans, student trainee guides, testing materials and related curriculum management documents. You will ensure Course Master Schedules, Master Course Reference Files and student throughput data are maintained per current directives and are accurate, current and consistent throughout the command. You will coordinate the submission of all command reports pertaining to the Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS) and Marine Corps Training Information Management Systems (MCTIMS). You will compile and maintain statistical data on course utilization, throughput, and attrition for students. You will provide course data on all courses of instruction for integration into the Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC) and make necessary changes as they occur. You will produce student training guides/aids, pamphlets, story boards, handouts and other educational illustrative items which enhance the learning experience and content of curriculum.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Carrying of light (less than 30lbs) items such as papers and books is required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience analyzing educational needs and utilizing training quota and management monitoring and reporting systems (e.g. Fleet Training Management Planning System (FLTMPS), Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS), Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC) and Enterprise Navy Training Reservation System (eNTRS) to administer (e.g. research, coordinate, schedule, track) employee training. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
