About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD (HA)) in Falls Church, VA. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.


Fully complies with the Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule, including the legal, regulatory, policy and established processes. Develops and implements ETMS2 policies and business practices for J8 Financial Operations. Plans, develops, supports and implements policies covering all aspects of the Directorate’s workflow/correspondence management operations to meet Directorate goals and objectives. Receives, reviews, and analyzes significant incoming directives and high-level correspondence requiring decisions or responses. Reviews and disseminates administrative directives and policies issued by DHA, DoD, and other governmental organizations.


  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
