About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Unit Program Coordinator in 81st Medical Support Squadron located in Keesler AFB, MS, working with a variety of office automation software program and providing office support.
Duties
Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions.
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
Assists commander/director in accomplishing all necessary internal operations to include administrative training, security, development of organizational operating instructions and regulations, and personnel assistance.
Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information.
Acts as the point of contact for all newly assigned personnel.
Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs.
Ensures unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives.
Responsible for programs to include but not limited to task management, cybersecurity liaison (CL), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator, and others outlined in the position description.
Attends required training, meetings, and functions as related to the prescribed unit programs.
Serves as a unit liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position requires a secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: Must demonstrate experience in auditing forms to ensure that forms are current and valid; maintaining and managing an executive staff calendar; interacting with civilian and military staff; utilizing a variety of automation systems to conduct tasks such as travel or time and attendance; and using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to create and develop reports and correspondences.
