About the Position: This position serves as a Program Analyst supporting POM development and related PPBE activities within the Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) Division, Resource Management Directorate, Headquarters, U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC) in Austin, Texas.
Duties
Provide management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multi-year/long range financial planning, and development of command programs.
Collect, review, analyze, and prepare the command Program Objective Memorandum (POM) input.
Coordinate with program managers, functional subject matter experts, and resource management personnel to evaluate requirements, operational impacts, and risk.
Provide deliverables and recommendations to support Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) milestones and tasks.
Advise Directorate and Command Group of potential programmatic and operational impacts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret Clearance required.
- TDY 10% of the time.
- One Year probationary period, unless already completed.
- Financial Management Certification, Level 2, required within 24 months of hire.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes 1) Experience applying knowledge of the DoD resource management and financial management processes in support of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) and 2) Experience analyzing and coordinating Army requirements to support organizational Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
