The Contract Specialist works within the Procurement and Contracts Branch of the Administrative Services Division.  The Contract Specialist is a career ladder role working under the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Grade 7:  A High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years of specialized contract experience.  Grade 9: A High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of specialized contract experience Grade 11: A High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years of specialized contract experience. Grade 12: A High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years of specialized contract experience. Education will substitute for experience.  Note:  This position is developmental in nature, leading to the target grade of JS-12.  Upon meeting performance requirements incumbent may be promoted non-competitively to the target level of JS-12. The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency. Documentation of education (copy of HS diploma, GED, college transcript or degree) must be submitted with your application or your application will not be considered. Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts is required.  If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.
