This position is part of the NNSA - Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs, Department of Energy. A successful Senior Logistics Management Specialist serves as a strategic planner with a focus on acquisition, product support, and integration of enterprise life cycle logistics plans, strategies, and policies. Including modeling, analyzing, evaluating, incorporating, and integrating actions across programs, projects, and organizations within a complex acquisition and sustainment enterprise.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NN-04, NQ-03, and GS-14.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in the following activities:
1. Knowledge and skill in the application of life cycle logistics management principles and practices, spanning activities from product design to disposal in complex acquisition and sustainment activities.
2. Knowledge of DOD & DOE management policies, plans, and practices including integration and implementation of product support efforts to ensure effective and optimized acquisitions that enable long-term sustainment of fielded systems.
3. Knowledge of key functions and requirements within complex system logistical and supply network interfaces including integration of planning, operational, modeling, and analysis processes that support and enable effective product life cycle logistics decisions and solutions.
4. Ability to communicate precisely and effectively providing relevant, accurate, and credible advice, and guidance to senior leaders, managers, executives, and high level government officials.

Education
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-14 and above level.
