This position is located at the Regional Treatment Center for Nevada Skies Youth Wellness Center (NSYWC), in Wadsworth, NV. The incumbent serves as the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist over the maintenance and dietary department with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and directing maintenance operations. Responsible for maintaining the buildings to ensure safe, efficient and well-maintained building systems and operations that support patient care.
Duties
Program Administrative Functions:
Identifies existing or potential maintenance deficiencies and implements appropriate corrective action, including audits, quality assurance processes, writing performance based statements of work, development of cost estimates, reviews, plans, and specifications and makes provisions for orderly Maintenance participation in Engineering initiatives.
Manages work schedules, special assignments, and policies and practices to address unusual or complex operations. Establishes and approves overall work schedules and determines individual or group work assignments with subordinate supervisors and staff.
Ensures risk assessments are performed on renovation and construction work prior to work. Ensures all construction and renovation projects are in compliance with local and state standards.
Supervisory/Managerial Functions:
Conducts staff meetings to explain work requirements, methods and procedures as needed, gives special instructions on especially difficult or different functions and answers technical questions about work assignments, new or changed program, functions or processes.
Implements and directs the implementation of significant provisions of personnel management programs. This includes developing staffing plans, position descriptions, implementation of management procedures, training and career development.
Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-1640-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Knowledge of medical facilities maintenance and repair operations, knowledge of federal, state and local government practices, functions, laws, regulations, codes and Joint Commission standards, analyzing statistics and review of maintenance operations to determine compliance with requirements.
