About the Position: This position is located at the 59th Medical Wing - Joint Base San Antonio - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center; Lackland AFB, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Serve as a Personnel Management action officer between Resource Management and the organization. Perform comprehensive budgeting and coordinate with the Resource Management Office to monitor expenditures of a multimillion-dollar budget. Advise the leadership on funding for personnel, contracts, supply items, and official travel. Track and validate committed and allocated funds with the Resource Management and Logistics Offices. Take steps to obtain additional funding to support workload and patient requirements through available channels for funding. Responsible for implementing and supporting clinical and administrative processes in order to ensure necessary resources are available for staff to meet performance standards.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience performing budgeting to support workload, facilities management, and day-to-day supervision of support staff. (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
