Duties

You will be responsible for major system development or the direction of technology-based research which has the highest significance to the agency's needs. You will be responsible for defining objectives, interpreting policies promulgated by authorities which are senior to the immediate supervisor and determining their effect on program needs. Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area IT Project Manager level Basic within 12 months of appointment

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provide senior authoritative expert guidance and rapid program/project management for technical and operational functions to include high quality engineering/technical support in developing information technology rapid solutions. 2. Lead multi-disciplinary teams participating in design reviews, program management reviews and technical information meetings by providing detailed documentation including developing exit and assessment criteria with regards to the unmanned control system and data dissemination technologies. 3. Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the planning and execution of complex system/system-of-system unmanned system integration efforts that meet aggressive program cost, schedule and performance requirements. 4. Works directly with sponsor and team members to ensure appropriate funding is received and executed in accordance with program, division and statutory financial requirements. 5. Maintain and track program budget and spend plan using earned value management (EVM). 6. Provide relevant inputs to the resource-loaded work breakdown structure (WBS)/integrated master schedule (IMS). 5. Represent as an expert on matters pertaining to the resources required for the development and integration of unmanned control system technologies.
