You will serve as a REGION INSPECTOR/INVESTIGATOR in the COMMANDER NAVER INSTALLATIONS COMMAND of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 12.25% will be added to the stated salary.

Duties

You will perform inspections, reviews, studies, analyses and evaluations of region and installation operations. You will proactively identify high risk, vulnerable areas for inspection and ensure inspections are scheduled providing situational awareness. You will conduct exit conferences with management officials to discuss inspection results and clarify any points of disagreement after completion of inspection. You will support the Region Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP) program by providing guidance or training to installation staff in performing management control reviews and risk assessments. You will analyze complaints involving alleged fraud, waste, acquisition and procurement irregularities, mismanagement, security violations, environmental concerns and ethics violations.

• This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
• May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
• You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing inspections of government fund programs (e.g. appropriated and non-appropriated funds) for compliance with internal controls, regulations and directives, efficiency and economy of resources and fraud/waste detection.
