Incumbent is responsible for claims processing for multiple programs under the cognizance of the CFO/Supervisory Program Administrator to ensure transactions, registrations, payments, and financial audits are administered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with appropriate regulations and laws. The incumbent is responsible for proper processing and resolution of claims falling under the Beneficiary Travel Program supporting Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: Monitor the timeliness and accuracy of the claim's payment processes. Examine discrepant situations that include, but are not limited to, potential duplicates, quality assurance correspondence and development, other eligibility, vendor file maintenance, etc. Provide advice and guidance on hospitalization payments, unauthorized travel claims, etc. Investigate authorization orders, and/or utilizes the computerized patient record system (CPRS) to review medical records. Responsible for for any concern relating to bene travel. Perform all other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday Virtual: This is not a virtual position. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/28/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-08 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
