You will serve as a Industrial Engineering Technician in the Technical Data and Documentation Division of the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will perform comprehensive planning concerning elements to establish repair capability and to maintain and update capability requirements for assigned aircraft, engines, or components. You will perform detailed reviews of programs utilizing tools such as Work Document deck scrubs and Standard Depot Level Maintenance and Phased Depot Maintenance Specification reviews. You will implement investigations, reviews, and studies to determine the reasons for excessive variances (man-hours/dollars losses or gains) under the guidance of senior technicians or supervisory personnel.

Requirements

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determining and implementing logistic elements required for depot repair such as facilities equipment, manpower, trade skills, materials, technical data, training and processes; 2) Performing investigations, reviews, and studies to determine reasons for excessive variances related to man-hours/dollars losses or gains; 3) Preparing industrial logistics planning and integration documents for the repair of new and prospective work load programs; 4) Performing comprehensive planning concerning elements to establish repair capability and to maintain and update capability requirements for assigned aircraft, engines, or components; and 5) Performing detailed reviews of programs utilizing tools such as Work Document deck scrubs, Standard Depot Level Maintenance, and Phased Depot Maintenance Specification reviews.
