This position will be filled on a Permanent basis.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties
Facilitate all functions of the committee including periodic meetings, medical specialty workshops, and associated travel and facilities arrangements.
Research issues, Surgical Combat Casualty Care (SCCC) education and training requirements, SCCC equipment requirements and transition issues.
Develop and maintain a continuously expanding database of literature in support of the work of the Committee on Surgical Combat Casualty Care (COSCCC).
Monitor and support studies, activities and interaction between Capability Developers, Requirements Managers and Advanced Developers.
Study and projects present and future activity needs and formulates alternative policies and ways of meeting these needs.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with operations planning; reviewing medical literature to present new trauma care ideas; providing advice to leadership to improve programs; and assisting with the development and training of staff/committee members. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
