About the Position: This position will be filled on a Permanent basis. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized.

Duties

Facilitate all functions of the committee including periodic meetings, medical specialty workshops, and associated travel and facilities arrangements. Research issues, Surgical Combat Casualty Care (SCCC) education and training requirements, SCCC equipment requirements and transition issues. Develop and maintain a continuously expanding database of literature in support of the work of the Committee on Surgical Combat Casualty Care (COSCCC). Monitor and support studies, activities and interaction between Capability Developers, Requirements Managers and Advanced Developers. Study and projects present and future activity needs and formulates alternative policies and ways of meeting these needs.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with operations planning; reviewing medical literature to present new trauma care ideas; providing advice to leadership to improve programs; and assisting with the development and training of staff/committee members. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
