Duties
This position administers the primary duties encompass the guidance, oversight, management, and administrative support services for the Reserve Program. Provides contingency staffing support for active duty and reserve members within the Seventh Coast Guard District, responsible for coordinating Requests for Forces (RFF) between USCG Surge Staffing and District 7 units.Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Qualifications
AT THE GS-7 GRADE LEVEL: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level (in the Federal sector). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: writing technical reports, planning documents and correspondence related to programmatic functions; performing on a regular and recurring basis using automated information systems to input and retrieve data from existing information systems, creating slides for presentations, and editing and formatting reports generated from databases or spreadsheets;
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
