About the Position: This position is with the US Army Cadet Command 5th Brigade JROTC located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Plans and executes the Junior reserve Officers' Training corps supply program
Coordinate and review requirements to support the JROTC supply program
Prepare procedures for annual inventories and compile information for use in survey actions, administrative adjustment reports, and various supply documents
Requirements
- May require a 1-year trial period.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to successfully lift 50 Pounds.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: One (1) year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service which includes work that involves receipt and storage of supply items, conducting inventories and protecting supplies and equipment from loss, OR I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level in the federal service which involves planning and executing a supply program, conducting annual inventories, conducting investigations to determine causes of inventory discrepancies and monitor budget expenditures for supplies, laundry, equipment, furniture, etc.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Education

One full year of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-07. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge,skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. (Transcripts must be attached).
This education must have been obtained in an accredited business,secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.
