About the position: This position will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation.
This position is Regular Part-Time. Guaranteed hours are 20 hours per week.
Duties
Manages Recreational Equipment Issue Center to achieve customer satisfaction and fiscal goals.
Plans and submits annual budgets for Nonappropriated Fund supplies, equipment, services and personnel costs.
Implements approved budgets, determines range and depth of equipment items available based on customer interest.
Plans and develops programs/events to stimulate customer interest and increase utilization; prepares publicity releases, oversees equipment maintenance/repair to ensure continued serviceability and extended use.
Initiates repair/procurement requests.
Establishes controls to maintain facility layout to provide an attractive display/service area and neat, orderly maintenance/storage areas.
Monitors cash handling procedures and documentation, collects, deposits and verifies all funds.
Ensures staff provide consistently helpful, knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have working knowledge of equipment offered as well as basic maintenance and safety.
Applicant must have solid customer service and communicative skills developed over at least one year experience in an environment related to public contact.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
