Duties

Use multiple automation and information management systems, hardware and software to include, but not limited to Microsoft and Adobe products. Create graphic and spreadsheet displays to depict various types of training management and reporting requirements. Identify proponency issues and works with the staff sections to resolve issues when ownership is difficult to define or crosses staff lines. Serve as the advisor to organization for conference planning and approval both at TRADOC and the Secretary of the Army level. Serve as the organizations G3 primary planner and action officer in support of ceremonies and special events

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.
  • May require one year probationary period.

Specialized experience is defined as: Work that involves prioritizing, coordinating, and integrating organization and Fort Knox-wide, internal and external short and long term tasks, projects and other requirements with In-depth knowledge and understanding of the operational, organizational and functional mission and relationships between subordinate units, TRADOC, HQDA, other components, services and outside agencies to include the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the White House Liaison Office along with the guidelines that consist of Army doctrine, administrative regulations, policies and higher component guidance, policies and regulations and previously completed projects, plans and tasks relative to assigned functional duties. Receive tasking's and request for Information from higher echelons while conducting mission analysis and tasks the staff and subordinate organizations as necessary to complete the requirements. Track and submit all completed requirements to higher headquarters in order to meet the suspense. Develop internal procedures and guidelines in order to implement new or changed processing while performing various duties that require the application of different and unrelated methods, practices and criteria, to include drafting directives for review ensuring internal processes and procedures are followed and directive is accurate and free of grammatical error and ready for publication after review. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Education

Master's or equivalent graduate degree as related to the position. (Transcripts required)

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. (Transcripts required)
