About the Position: This position is located with the Garrison Resource Management Office, Fort Stewart, GA.
Relocation Incentive of $10,000 is authorized.
Duties
Determine, select, and organize appropriate data for use in executing performance measurements.
Conducts special research projects by extracting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting data from financial and logistical systems.
Provide comprehensive management accounting advice and recommendations to installation managers regarding problems found and future operational efficiency.
Analyzes and monitors integrity and reasonableness of accounting transactions to identify abnormal balances, trends, and recurring errors.
Performs professional accounting work related to financial processes associated with core Army accounting systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
- Temporary duty travel of 5% may be required,
- Financial Management Level 2 Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing professional accounting services/advice that ensure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); independently applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to evaluate and interpret accounting data, financial statements and reports, processes, accounting/financial systems, or effectiveness of internal controls; providing technical accounting expertise to assist in the design, implementation and/or assessment of operating systems, procedures, or internal control processes; experience in using GFEBS (General Funds Enterprise Business System) the Army's financial system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
