Duties

You will Issues parts, components and sub-assemblies to trades and crafts employees in the various Shops within the Facilities Maintenance Section (FMS) to ensure seamless availability of same with services designed. You will monitor parts utilization and stock on hand, via visual assessment of Warehouse supplies and/or the automated database. Maintains documentation on source of supply, tracks consumption data. You will coordinate requests from shop supervisory personnel, planners and technicians for parts and industrial supplies. You will receive material in the Warehouse, Warehousing Cell or Dockside; checks item numbers/documentation and physical attributes of item for accuracy and relationship. You will maintain various records and files.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Emergency overtime may be required.
  • Must be able to safely and properly wear all personal protective equipment including respiratory protection (respirator) if required.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: provide/issue assets, parts & materials support for the general maintenance and repair, of facilities, appliances, building structures, associated equipment, and real property assets and to receive and store these items in a warehouse facility.
