This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position receives, schedules and coordinates a variety of work order requests, service orders etc. to support maintenance/repair/construction operations for Department of Engineering & Public Works.
Duties
Receives work requests for in-house projects and accepts or rejects, based on knowledge of craft, work procedures, workload, staffing and material requirements.
Codes work type and determines other required information.
Estimates labor requirements based on knowledge and historical data and use of engineered standards of minor work.
Initiates, receives and schedules work order requests, service orders, and parts requirements.
Verifies accuracy of data reported by entering into the Facilities Equipment Management System

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include
Experience processing electronic and telephonic work requests for maintenance/repairs;
Experience reviewing data input into various computer systems for accuracy and completeness;
Experience reading and reviewing work orders/requests for in-house projects to accept or reject and
Experience estimating labor requirements and scheduling work for concurrent projects.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-06).
