Position is located at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, in the Maintenance and Engineering Division.

Duties
Some of the duties you will perform include, but are not limited to:
Construct, repair and/or modify building elements to accepted rough and finished carpentry standards.
Perform maintenance, repair, restoration and stabilization of park resources.
Use measuring devices and test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, continuity checkers, manometers and other special purpose test equipment to adjust, measure and record data.
Work from complex instructions, blueprints, sketches and building codes to complete maintenance tasks.
Operate threading machines, pneumatic and electric hammers, power saws, valve exercisers, concrete cutters and other power equipment necessary to perform maintenance mechanic duties.
Plan, compute, and lay out projects to identifies material needs.
Perform cyclic and minor preventive maintenance on water meters, gauges, fittings and pumps of all types, to include partial rebuilding and painting after cyclic maintenance is performed.
Operate boats, backhoes, forklift and welding equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned assisting other trade journeymen with carpentry, concrete masonry, plumbing, electrical, and assist other maintenance personnel.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area, America's largest reservoir, was created by the construction of the Hoover Dam. With more than 750 miles of shoreline, you can enjoy a day at the beach, take a boat out and disappear for hours or nestle into a cove to try to catch a big one. Located in the western part of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Boulder Bay stretches more than a mile along the shoreline of the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead. Boulder Beach has access to many recreation opportunities. Boulder Beach, Special Events Beach, Canoe/Kayak Beach, and PWC Beach are 1-2 miles away where you can kayak and jet ski. To explore the park on land, the River Mountains Loop Trail passes right by the campground. This paved trail is more than 30 miles long and leads to the Historic Railroad Trail. Boulder City is a short drive from the Las Vegas Metropolitan area.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
