Duties
Approve strategic and operational plans, policies, programs and procedures.
Lead subordinates to organization success and high performance supporting the overall directorate mission.
Provide positive, professional and effective leadership daily to subordinate unit organizations.
Advise employees of work expectations and accountability standards.
Administer an integrated human resources management program with the organizational goals, priorities and values.
Monitor new developments and regulatory guidance from Headquarters and Region.
Prepare plans, processes, and program documentation and policies for organizational mission accomplishment.
Advise leadership on technical and administrative operations.
Execute and implement policies and programs for organizational mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has been identified as being a Key Position under the provisions of AR 690-11, Mobilization Planning and Management. A Key position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization.
- Key positions require that they not be filled by Ready Reservists or military retirees with recall obligations. Prior to occupying the position, Civilians must be exempted from recall to active duty because of Reserve or retired military obligations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves applying knowledge of military or civilian personnel regulations or policies to manage or direct military and civilian personnel services programs; providing guidance or training to others on the processing of military and civilian personnel actions; recommending solutions to identified personnel problems; managing mobilization plans, systems and procedures for organization; overseeing mail room and publication operations; managing workforce development programs; supervising subordinate staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
