About the Position: This is a GS-2005-06 Supply Technician (OA) position with 82nd MDG Sheppard Air Force Base located in Wichita, Texas.

Duties

Ensures products procured meet regulatory standards and are of the highest quality, while maintaining cost efficiency. Receives and inspects products and verifies accuracy of invoice on all procurements. Places orders for all food and supply items using a computer system, a credit card or government order form. Participates with supervisor in developing census forecasts. Locates recipes using TM 10 and the internet. Enter inventory receipts, issues and end-of-month balances into computerized system. Maintain records of all transactions and coordinates with external and internal agencies to ensure accurate accounting of purchases.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
