You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) in the Data Communications and Networks Branch (ORG Code PA32) of the AEGIS Enterprise Assessment Division in the Performance Assessmennt Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, Corona, California..

Duties

You will provide subject matter expertise in network systems (e.g., architecture design; administration, operation, security and maintenance), You will perform system administration functions (design, installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance) of hardware and software networks, You will provide mentorship, management and training to other system administrators to support, maintain and protect networks and data integrity, You will provide technical expertise in cryptographic equipment management, critical network infrastructure support, and intrusion detection support, You will manage compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) on all IA-enabled devices, Operating Systems, components, and applications, You will provide technical guidance for Host-based security systems support, cloud environment support, and virus and malware support to ensure safe deployment of antenna systems on ship and on shore, You will collaborate with the technical leads, security officer, and EKMS manager as a primary COMSEC local element, You will evaluate, assess, and mitigate network, system, and application vulnerabilities to complete risk assessment requirements, You will provide insight to project management pertaining to security risks, producing mitigation plans to reduce or remove identified risks, You will perform cybersecurity forensics during test and evaluation exercises to determine vulnerabilities and their potential impact to the host Combat System, You will analyze CS/IA/IT/network requirements to aid in planning design and implementation of information systems to ensure effective and efficient Performance Assessment, You will employ root cause analysis to identify and solve problems, and initiate investigations, to defend the decision of the assessment with tact and credibility.

• This position is designated a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain credentials described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for System Administrator, Journeyman level, within prescribed timelines.
• A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning must be completed annually and documented in your current individual development plan (IDP) signed by you and your supervisor.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public managing the architecture design, installation, administration, operation, security and maintenance of network systems in support of performance assessment of weapons and combat systems. You must also demonstrate attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
