THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D2575000 and is part of the CO 140th MXS, National Guard.
The purpose of this position is to provide munitions support to the state and designated agencies in support of their taskings.
Duties
Production Section is comprised of Precision Guided Munitions (PGM), Conventional Maintenance, Line-Delivery and Munitions Support Equipment Elements. Materiel Section is comprised of Operations, Inspections and Stockpile Management Elements. Manages allocations, stock levels, inventories, requisitions, and disposition of munitions. The Systems Section is comprised of Munitions Control, Combat Plans, Mobility & Training and Plans & Scheduling Elements. Coordinates with munitions elements, weapons expediter, flight-line expediter, maintenance activities, and base support agencies to ensure effective flow of information, scheduling, and use of available resources. Maintains hazardous waste and material according to applicable directives. Coordinates commercial or organic movement hazardous material munitions or related assets through the Traffic Management Office. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Membership in the Colorado Air National Guard or eligible to transfer.
- Must hold the grade of E-1 thru E-7.
- Compatible Military Assignment: 2W051 AFSC.
- Submit all required documentation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E-1 thru E-7
Compatible Military Assignments: 2W051 AFSC

Must have at least 18 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience in repairing, rebuilding, modifying and testing a variety of major subassemblies.
2. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components.
3. Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment.
4. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
