The Congressional Budget Office is a nonpartisan agency that provides economic and budgetary analysis to the Congress. The agency seeks an experienced administrative assistant to provide administrative support for executives and managers and to serve as a resource for other staff across multiple divisions.
Duties
The responsibilities of the administrative assistant include serving as the agency's Parking Coordinator; receiving and referring telephone call and visitors; tracking training and budget execution; managing executives' schedules; preparing training and travel documents for staff; supporting the Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Communications Director as needed; maintaining intranet pages; making credit card purchases and payments and processing credit card reconciliations; compiling data and briefing materials; coordinating agency functions; overseeing agency teleconferencing requirements; preparing time and attendance records; collecting and distributing mail and reports; and filing. The assistant will interact with staff at all levels of the organization, as well as with Congressional staff, leadership of other federal agencies, members of professional and academic institutions, and the public.

Qualifications
Candidates must have at least five years of administrative experience supporting senior-level staff. This position also requires the following:- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;- Experience working with video conferencing services such as Teams and Zoom in a Windows PC environment;- Ability to develop and maintain paper-based and computer-based recordkeeping systems;- Ability to track, prioritize, and execute multiple simultaneous responsibilities in various parts of the organization; - Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and superb attention to detail; - Reliable maintenance of confidentiality and discretion;- Ability to anticipate and troubleshoot problems and flexibility to accommodate the demands of various tasks; and- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 security clearance.TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:See Qualifications above
