THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (32), Position Description Number D0883P01 and is part of the AR ARNG DCSG4 SUPPORT OFFICE, National Guard. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQURED

Duties

This position is located in the Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Plans Policy and Readiness Branch. Its purpose is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions. --Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations. --Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensures coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiates equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for Federal and State missions. --Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Consolidates all logistics readiness indicators to formulate an assessment of the command logistics readiness of the state. Develops the Equipment on Hand policy that directs the supply and services officer and (DOL) DCSLOG/G4 to initiate equipment redistribution actions within the command. --Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. Receives input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans to support the material fielding plan. Develops command requirements for new equipment training. Analyzes, directs and provides command logistics guidance to support CTA/TDA/MTOE changes and turn-in of command excess equipment to the USPFO. --Serves as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program. --Updates Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4 branches or activities. Prepares the annual DCSLOG/G4 management controls statement of assurance.--Performs other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Work involves management, direction or administration of a supply program that includes a mixture of technical supply functions or staff managerial or administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Use the Office of Personnel Management Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions education requirements and specialized experience time requirements of 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level for both one- and two-grade interval work. 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
