The minimum salary for grade GS-11 is $72,185, the maximum salary is $93,838. The minimum salary for grade GS-12 is $86,520, the maximum salary is $112,477.

Duties

Analyzes data requirements for the enhancement of automated financial management systems. Works with information sources to improve system performance and reliability through the development of databases and micro-applications. Reviews operational capabilities and provides comments and recommendations for proposed changes, coordinating with peers throughout the directorate to determine the best method for accomplishing the system change. Oversees the testing of system changes and implements enhancements or new products. Duties will be developmental in nature when the position is filled below the full performance level of GS-12.

Qualifications

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense via delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. To be hired at the GS-11 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level defined as: demonstrated knowledge of automated systems applications processing principles related to finance or accounting operations; documenting systems applications requirements; and testing systems applications to ensure all functional requirements are met. To be hired at the GS-12 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level defined as: demonstrated knowledge of automated systems applications design and processing principles related to finance or accounting operations; identifying and documenting systems applications requirements; testing systems applications to ensure all functional requirements are met; and gathering and evaluating data for systems applications development. This position is developmental at the GS-11 entry grade level. Once eligibility and qualification requirements are met, selectees will be eligible for promotion at management discretion to the GS-12 grade levels without further competition. Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html).

GS 12: Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
