About the Position: The position is located at the Army Sustainment Command, Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Fort Moore, GA. Fort Moore is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, GA, and adjacent to Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking are available.

Duties

Coordinate work of the Transportation Office with Command representatives, supported organizations, and supporting units as required. Responsible for providing transportation support services to military, government civilian and contractor personnel and continually coordinates with various directors, special staff elements, and tenants’ activities. Oversee execution of cargo, unit equipment, and freight shipments, to include hazardous materials via motor, rail, and water services. Plan and coordinate activities within the transportation office on matters related to transportation policies and office management procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. The employee may be required to work overtime.
  • Travel is approximately 10% of the incumbent’s time to temporary duty locations by various means including commercial and government aircraft, and motor vehicles may be required.
  • Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
