You will serve as an Intelligence Oversight and Publically Available Information (PAI) Specialist responsible for implementing the Command Oversight of Intelligence Activities (I/O) program at all levels according with current Law, Policy and Directives. You will conduct investigations into Questionable Intelligence Activities and reportable events and report subsequent findings. This position is located at USMC FORCES SPECIAL OPERATIONS CMD in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Duties

You will lead Marine Corps, Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Intelligence Oversight and Publically Available Information (PAI) strategic efforts with the aim of developing and growing Intelligence Oversight and PAI. You will lead and oversee efforts to develop, review, write, staff and maintain Intelligence Oversight and Publically Available Information (PAI) doctrine and policy. You will collaborate with other specialists in the planning and oversight of Intelligence Oversight and Publically Available Information (PAI) tradecraft strategies to safely, effectively, and efficiently answer requirements and identify trends. You will provide contribution to the review and development of Intelligence Oversight and Publically Available Information (PAI) events in the Marine Corps, Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Training and Readiness Manual.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and a valid no-fee passport.
  • This position requires travel of up to 10%, to include up to 1 Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) assignment of up to 5 days in the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • This position requires other than normal duty hours as well as evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conduct investigations into Questionable Intelligence Activities and reportable events as required and report findings of the organization; Participate in Publically Available Information (PAI) strategic efforts with the aim of developing and participating in various program areas such as training, tradecraft strategies, and budgets and training requirements; Analyze processes and policies to identify intelligence gaps and utilize emerging technology and tools to eliminate those gaps.
