This position is located with Joint Base Lewis-McChord MWR - Community Recreation Division.
Regular Full-Time positions are guaranteed 40 hours per work week and are eligible for all Army NAF benefits.

Duties
Plans, develops and coordinates a recreation program to maximize patron participation such as intramural sports, teen center, outdoor recreation, etc.
Modifies program based on market surveys and need/interests expressed by patrons and potential users.
Instructs and leads programs and classes both internally and externally.
Develops and defends program budget requests. Ensures compliance with safety guidelines. Supervises assigned staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be able to work a schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
Qualifications
(1) Work experience directing one or more recreation programs as described above.
AND
(2) Completion of the requirements for a Bachelor's degree in the program area to be managed (Business & Operations Division - Special Events).For Example: Parks and Recreation, Recreation Management, Park and Resource Management, Recreation and Park Administration, Leisure Studies and/or other similar areas of study.
OR
(2) Experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
