Duty Location: Boise, Idaho
Duties
Analyzes contract terms and prepares billing documents for a variety of contracts and agreements.
Maintains subsidiary repayment ledgers and reconciles with general ledger control accounts.
Serves as liaison between Finance and Accounting, area offices, and the region on billing documents.
Researches, investigate, and resolve problems or discrepancies and reconcile assigned accounts.
Prepares and reviews various accounting documents to verify accounting data and necessary entries.
Establishes, changes, or deletes cost authorities and maintains permanent cost authority files.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the education and/or specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service having demonstrated experience defined as analyzing error listings, isolating sources of errors, making corrective entries and reprocessing accounting transactions; computing transportation charges and discounts, and total amounts for vouchers; reconciling subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger; researching discrepancies; and initiating adjustment actions. You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having (1) year of appropriate graduate level education in a field of study directly related to the work of the position. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications.
To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service that shows your ability to perform progressively more complex, responsible, or difficult duties; and that shows your ability to learn the specific work of this job. You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having (1) year of appropriate graduate level education in a field of study directly related to the work of the position. You may combine specialize experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications.
The superior academic achievement provision is to be used to determine eligibility for applicable GS-07 level positions of persons who have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months) all the requirements for bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a qualifying grade point average (GPA), class standing, or honors society. Education
This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-06/07 grade levels. Applicants must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience.
