About the Position: This position is with United States Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), AMCOM Logistics Center, Aviation Directorate, Utility, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant in an organization with responsibility for coordinating and performing a wide variety of support services essential to the orderly and efficient accomplishment of the work of the organization.
Performs a variety of office functions such as screens visitors and telephone calls, distributes incoming mail; provides advice on office procedures; inputs time and attendance into an automated system; assistance on DTS travel related matters.
Reviews and interprets guidance, directives, standard operating procedures, and regulations from various command organizations that pertain to assigned services.
Uses word processing, spreadsheets and other software to produce a variety of documents, some of which require complex, legal formats.

- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience which includes preparing, reviewing, and editing routine correspondences. Performing a variety of clerical, administrative, and support work for an office; experience in using Microsoft Suite programs, various office skills; and applying skill in ways to assist and increase the effectiveness of others. Answering, screening telephone calls and setting up appointments for visitors needing to see the supervisor. Assist management with all aspects of the organizational training program. Conducts training survey and provided advice and assistance on need and relevancy of specific courses for employee training and development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
