About the position: This position will be assigned to the Child Development Centers located at Wright-Patt AFB.
Participates in the administration of and training related to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for Family Child Care (FCC).

Duties
Participates in the administration of and training related to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for Family Child Care (FCC). In accordance with USDA regulations, will conduct on-site visits via government vehicle to monitor FCC homes for compliance with sanitation guidelines; reviews menus, meal attendance records, tracks meal components and quantities; and conducts nutrition training for FCC providers. Provides assistance and training on CACFP record keeping and claim requirements; evaluates documentation to ensure requirements are met for reimbursement purposes; and compiles documentation from FCC providers, verifies agency reimbursement, and forwards required reports to state agencies, in accordance with established deadlines. Provides additional training to providers, assists with menu planning, provides available reference and educational materials. Accurately maintains records and prepares required reports for CACFP, in accordance with state and United States Department of Agriculture requirements. Assists with tracking/organization/inventory of lending library items and office supplies, creates quarterly provider newsletters, and provides quality customer service to all patrons. Performs other related duties as assigned.

- This position requires a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
- Must have or be willing to receive required immunizations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Ability to apply detailed, strict guidelines, assist in training programs and become point of contact for CACFP. Must be able to communicate effectively, have some typing ability, and perform math computations. Must have strong organizational skills. Must possess a valid vehicle operator's license. Requires completion of provided Food Handler's and CPR/first Aid trainings. Requires satisfactory completion of National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), State Criminal History Records Check (SCHRC) and Installation Records Check (IRC}, when applicable. This is a drug testing designed position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
