You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist (Senior Intelligence Specialist/Task Force Operations Director) in the Mission Support Department of NAVY INFO OPERATIONS CMD GEORGIA.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
Serves as the Senior Intelligence Specialist/Task Force Operations Director for NAVIOCOM GA and Task Force 1050 (TF1050) under the Commanding Officer at NAVIOCOM Georgia responsible for maritime signals intelligence operations.
Sets plans, goals, and objectives for the organization to meet mission and operational requirements.
Responsible for direction and management of missions and functions of Task Force 1050 and its subordinate groups and units.
Serves as a strategist and technical expert on all operational matters.
Represents the Command with full authority to speak, negotiate, and settle all operational matter for the organization with senior level leaders and managers, especially involving significant operational planning and issues.
Performs as a second-line supervisor of the organization comprised of military and civilian personnel, sets work assignments and oversees the completeness of the work assigned.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This position requires periodic polygraph examinations.
- This position may require a 2-year trial period.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing an extensive knowledge of US Navy administration and military architecture; 2) Utilizing an extensive knowledge of US Navy Information Warfare operations; 3) Utilizing knowledge of CENTCOM theater countries of interest and CENTCOM theater intelligence requirements; and, 4) Utilizing an extensive knowledge of US Navy manpower and manning.
