ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ***ACTUAL DUTY LOCATION: HONOLULU, HI***The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) serves as the world leader in providing timely, relevant, accurate and actionable geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). NGA INDOPACOM brokers GEOINT services for mission partners in the Asia Pacific region. NGA analysts serve as liaisons and GEOINT producers, facilitating access to GEOINT Data, services, and capabilities that improve partner strategic objectives. Imagery Analysts will be expected to provide GEOINT subject matter expertise of foreign military force-related issues to include tactics, doctrine, force structure, and military technologies in support of USINDOPACOM. GEOINT-derived assessments contribute to USINDOPACOM military planning, operations, and monitoring foreign acquisitions. Other issues can include high current interest events, such as the impact of natural and man-made disasters. MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Demonstrated experience with research and analysis, imagery, and/or geospatial analysis.2. Demonstrated experience using critical thinking skills and/or data analytics to address matters of national concern, such as foreign military, environmental, and/or terrorism.3. Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the need of various audiences.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, International Affairs, International Studies, Military Science, Physical Science, Political Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Hand steadinessENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENT: Prolonged exposure to video display unitsDESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).2. Knowledge of national and/or Commercial Imaging Systems; Image Tasking; Image Processing; Image Exploitation, and writing imagery reports. 3. Experience in meeting requirements on scheduled collaborative work with other organizations in a fast-paced and/or constantly changing environment.
