You will serve as a Legal Assistant in the Office of General Counsel, Code 07 of OFFICE OF NAVAL RESEARCH.
Duties
You will work directly with attorneys on document preparation in anticipation of litigation, other legal matters, and as required for use in judicial and administrative actions.
You will route incoming requests for Code 07 assistance and mail to appropriate points of contact, retaining items of special importance for the Counsel's attention.
You will arrange meetings, hearings and other engagements for Code 07 including location, time and necessary participants.
You will handle all non-legal contractual matters for the Senior Patent Attorney with respect to contract/grant invention reporting in support of ONR invention surveillance programs.
You will provide administrative and logistical support for the Office of Counsel (Code 07) including travel assistance, timekeeping, correspondence, receiving and screening phone calls/visitors.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05/07 grade level or pay band (NC-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Providing administrative and logistical support to attorneys and staff; 2.) Placing, receiving, and screening incoming phone calls; 3.) Arranging meetings, hearings and other engagements including location, time and attendees; 4.) Preparing necessary forms, reports, and personnel documents; AND 5.) Performing administrative tasks in support of attorneys.
